First, congratulation to all newly elected RTDM AJK(2012-2013)!
I'm the resident of Desa Mewah and wish to know what's the difference between residents stayed in Flats, Terrace houses & Semi-D, why should there a monthly rate different of RM15, RM30 & RM50?
The Security services provided to all residents in this DM are the same. I believe there's no special/extra services enjoyed for peoples staying in different types of houses.
I don't against this RT program & instead I support to have it for our(include family members) security & safety.
Yet, monthly fees should be same rate & fare to every resident in DM like previous years.
My suggestion is:
In order for us to reach the nearest AJK in case of emergency/needs.
I wish to suggest to indicate the contact number & house address for each AJK.
Thank you for our comment, RTDM is still getting a hotline no. where all residence can call during emergency. At meantime you can call AJK Unit Keselamatan as mention in the blog.
TQ
The question of differences in the rates was discussed at length during our meetings. The decision was made based on three reasons:
Firstly, our state of finance is rather weak especially after increasing the number of security guards. Hence, we really need more cash to continue this programme.
Secondly, the guards along Jalan 1 are placed almost exclusively for the residents of the Semi D houses. Although there are not many houses, the security guards there only cover fewer residents when compared to the other two zones.
Thirdly, we believe the residents in the Semi D homes may be financially a little sounder than our other brothers. It's just an assumption but looking at the paying pattern in the past and the practises in other housing estates, this decision was made. I too happen to stay in a SD. When the previous guard service was discontinued, the SD houses were the most frequent target of attacks. Our first ever case of kidnapping happened right in front of a Semi D home!
The emergency phone number is 010-4215859
As for the different rates paid, well, the belief is that some of us are a bit better off than the others so we may be able to afford a bit more. The people living in the flats are definately not doing too well financially.
superam
May I know where can we found the contact number?
